FOUR NEW FACES SIGN FOR TOWN

Taunton have made their first new signings of the summer and also re-signed several members of last season's squad. Striker Dean Stamp, central midfielder Rob Norrish and centre half Ben Mammola have all joined from Toolstation League side Willand Rovers whilst exciting left winger Craig Herrod has also put pen to paper. Manager Leigh Robinson commented:" I'm delighted to welcome the four new players to the club. In addition, I'm also pleased to say that Rodney Marsh, Simon Ingram, Darren Rice, Jamie Short and Raith Plant have all signed back on for the coming season. More signings will be announced in due course when players return from holiday and so on."

Stamp, 23, scored 22 goals for the Devon club last season, having formerly played for Exeter City and Truro City, whilst highly rated 28 year old Norrish was the Willand captain. Mammola, 25, was recently quoted as being 'arguably the finest player to have worn the white of Rovers in recent years.' Herrod, 24, has previously played for Wellington, Bideford and Street.

Town play their first pre-season warm-up game today (Saturday 21 July) when they face St Martins of the Devon and Exeter League on the Castle School astro pitch, kicking off at 1.00pm. However the Taunton boss remarked that "the team will mainly consist of trialists plus a couple of first teamers."

Another friendly has been arranged with Town taking on an Exeter City XI at Wordsworth Drive on Thursday 9 August, ko 7.30pm.
