Taunton play two pre-season friendlies in two days when they travel to Bishop Sutton tomorrow evening (24 July), kick-off 7.30pm and then play at Bishops Lydeard on Thursday, ko 6.30pm.
Tuesday's game sees the return of Simon Ingram, Rodney Marsh, Andy Butler and Corey Lewis to the squad, as well as marking the first appearance in Town colours of Dean Stamp and Rob Norrish who recently signed from Willand Rovers. Manager Leigh Robinson said:" For numerous players, the Bishop Sutton friendly will be their first pre-season game. We are still the best part of four weeks away from the League season so Tuesday's match will be all about getting the first 45 minutes into some players' legs as well as getting them to know each others game more. There will be around 19 players involved including plenty of trialists." Missing the match will be the injured Darren Rice and Jamie Short who is on holiday. |
