Taunton recorded their third pre-season victory with a 2-0 win at Somerset County League side Bishops Lydeard yesterday evening (26 July). Rodney Marsh scored both goals during the second half. Manager Leigh Robinson said after the game:" I was pleased to see Darren Rice make his first appearance of pre-season following his lengthy injury and he was very impressive. The bobbly hard pitch made the game a bit more tricky than it could have been but it was a useful fitness exercise as everyone continues to build up their match sharpness." Unfortunateley there is no match review due to the game conflicting with the AGM, however the line-up can be found in the Results section. Town travel to Chard Town tomorrow to continue their build-up to the new season.
