Taunton play their first home game of pre-season when they host Dinas Powys tomorrow afternoon (4 August), kick-off 3.00pm. The visitors finished 5th in the Welsh Football League 2nd Division last season and have won three out of their four pre-season friendlies to date.
Town will be looking to maintain their successful run before their League season begins in a fortnight at Winchester, with manager Leigh Robinson satisfied with progress so far. " We're all pleased with how the friendly matches have gone", he said. "On paper they were all games that we might be expected to win but pre-season games rarely work out like that. It also makes it more pleasing that we were able to win and keep four clean sheets whilst using such a high volume of players and blooding so many new faces too. Everyone is really looking forward to playing some home games now!"
The game at Wordsworth Drive gives the opportunity for home fans to see several new signings in action. Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for Under 18's but season ticket holders will be admitted for free, along with Under 12's subject to them being accompanied by an adult. |
