Taunton Town Football Club are pleased to announce a major sponsorship deal involving new shirt sponsors for the next two seasons. The new main shirt sponsors are AJ Poole Ltd who have agreed a five figure deal for 2012/13 and 2013/14 whilst Summerfield Homes have become the second shirt sponsor, securing a one year deal for the 2012/13 season with an option to sign an extension for 2013/14. Chairman and Chief Executive Kevin Sturmey, who negotiated the sponsorship package, said: “I am very pleased we have managed to acquire such progressive companies as shirt sponsors and would like to go on record to thank Adam Poole of AJ Poole Ltd and James Holyday of Summerfield for their support and commitment to help Taunton Town move forward. To secure major sponsors in the current economic climate shows just how far we have come off the pitch and if we can dovetail with some success on it, the future is looking very bright.” The deal will see AJ Poole Ltd emblazoned on the front of the home and away shirts with Summerfield Homes displayed similarly on the back.
AJ Poole Ltd is a small, yet well established, building contractor and timber frame building manufacturer specialising in bespoke timber frame houses, barn conversions, extensions and out buildings. Based in Curload just outside Taunton, AJ Poole offers a range of design, manufacturing and installation solutions to support any timber frame project - no matter how large or small. As members of both TRADA and the NHBC, AJ Poole gains access to the most up-to-date building regulation information and standards, enabling them to provide you with the best product possible. Director Adam Poole commented: “I am delighted to become the main shirt sponsor at Taunton Town, as the club has impressed me with their vision for the future. I hope this partnership can be the start of a prosperous and successful period for both parties as I plan to help the club with several other projects over the next two years.”
Sturmey remarked: “I have known Adam for many years and he came to us with a very good reputation to build our new clubhouse. It seemed the natural progression for both companies to work together in the future and I hope this sponsorship agreement is the start of a long and prosperous partnership.”
Summerfield are a long established property developer working throughout the South West of England, delivering both commercial and residential developments. In recent years they have developed over 3 million sq ft of offices, industrial, retail units, flats and houses and have established a reputation for offering quality accommodation to discerning occupiers. They also hold a portfolio of commercial property investments available to lease, including offices, industrial and retail units throughout the South West.
Summerfield’s Property Director James Holyday said: “We have been communicating with Taunton Town for a number of years and we are very happy to become a shirt sponsor, hoping we can work together in the future to help the club make further progress”.
Sturmey said: “We have been in communication with Summerfield for some time and they have been a fantastic company to deal with. It has been well documented that we previously had an option agreement with Summerfield which would have made developing Wordsworth Drive almost impossible and I have to thank them for releasing us from this option to allow Taunton Town to move forward. Without this happening, the club would have been in a very difficult and stagnant situation.”
Sturmey continued: “ I believe this is the largest sponsorship deal ever secured by the club and will help fund a major portion of our playing budget in conjunction with the many other sources of income we have obtained. We have also secured a large number of new sponsors to complement our loyal database of clients who we are currently negotiating with for the coming season.” |
