After the cup excitement of Tuesday, it’s back to Evo-Stik Southern League duty for Taunton Town on Saturday when they entertain Cinderford Town at Wordsworth Drive, kick-off 3pm.  The Forest of Dean side have made an unbeaten start to the season with victory over Paulton Rovers and a draw at Clevedon Town in the League plus a resounding win over Abingdon Town in the FA Cup, so another stiff challenge awaits the Peacocks who conceded the double to the visitors last season.

Confidence for the weekend however will be boosted by Tuesday’s progress in the FA Cup and most notably the second half performance. Manager Leigh Robinson observed:” The team has shown great character to come from behind to get a result in each of the last three games against good opposition. We do however need to start dominating games from the off and getting our noses in front rather than keep chasing games and this is the next aspect of our game to focus on. We are miles away from being the finished article but hopefully the fans had a glimpse on Tuesday of what this team is capable of.”

Taunton will be missing Raith Plant who is unavailable and Ryan Lewis who will get game time at another club, otherwise the squad will be unchanged.
