Taunton return to Evo-Stik League duty with a home game against Yate Town tomorrow evening (9 October), kick-off 7.45pm. The visitors have yet to pick up a point this season and sit bottom of the table, but have only played four league games due to their success in the FA Cup where a win last Saturday over North Leigh has seen them progress to the 4th qualifying round and a home tie with Conference leaders Newport County.
Town manager Leigh Robinson remarked:" I'm expecting an extremely tough game. I hope our fans and players don't look at the league table and expect an easy win as Yate have been in great form in the FA Cup and it's always dangerous playing a team hunting their first league win."
Captain Simon Ingram and James Blake return to the squad following injury whilst Rodney Marsh is also back after being suspended for the Tiverton match at the weekend. However Owen Irish begins a three game ban for his dismissal at Tiverton a fortnight ago, and Rob Norrish is also suspended for one game after amassing five bookings this season. Ben Mammola is unavailable due to work commitments whilst Dave Hambly who picked up a knock on Saturday, and Gary Saunders are both doubtful. |
