Taunton ended the season with three points when they defeated Halesowen Town 1-0 this afternoon (28 April). A Rodney Marsh goal after 22 minutes was sufficient to give Town the win and the League double. Taunton were the better side in the first half and had openings to score more than their solitary goal, a fine finish from Marsh after he had collected Raith Plant's pass. A header from Peter Folkes hit the bar as the hosts came more into the game after the break but Taunton also had chances to increase their lead with Corey Lewis coming close.
