Taunton completed the double against their mid table opponents to open up a six point gap at the top.
Both sides found chances hard to come by in the opening stages but after 9 minutes a Dan Sullivan shot was blocked by a home defender. The home side’s first real chance fell to Brendan Matthew but he fired over having been put through by Louis Stead.
Sullivan had another chance after 20 minutes from an Ollie Chamberlain pass but it went over and 8 minutes later a Chamberlain shot was deflected for a corner which came to nothing. Sullivan had two further chances in the first half but neither was taken.
Just two minutes after the break a Ryan Brett corner presented skipper Matt Wright with a chance but his header went over. Only two minutes after this the home side made Taunton pay the price for missed chances when Reece Yorke’s cross was headed in by Brendan Matthew, giving Taunton keeper Lloyd Irish no chance.
Another Taunton chance went begging after 57 minutes when top scorer Andrew Neal fired over after his first shot was blocked by home keeper Jack Smith.
The equalizer finally arrived after 62 minutes and Sullivan finally found the net with a 20 yard shot.
Taunton laid siege to the Beaconsfield goal in search of a winner and after further chances for Brett and Neal the breakthrough arrived five minutes from time. Skipper Matt Wright had a shot which hit the post and Ed Palmer was on hand to fire home, capping an excellent performance.
Beaconsfield sub Charlie Losasso scored in the match at the Viridor Stadium last month but his free kick two minutes from the end was well saved by Irish.
Despite four minutes being added on the home side were unable to create any more chances and another three points were on their way to Somerset.
