Taunton Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Perkins to the club’s backroom staff.

The Peacocks have acquired a vastly experienced UEFA A Licensed coach who has previously worked for The Football Association and England Women U20’s to name a few.

On the appointment of Perkins, Head of Football Rob Dray commented, “Perks is the final piece in the managerial set up and brings and a fantastic CV to us predominantly within the FA and the England set up.  His remit will be to affect the small percentages and margins at this level of football within the squad. The boys are doing fantastic at the moment but it’s important we don’t sit still. Perks will bring a fresh pair of eyes from a highly experienced and qualified coach that we haven’t had before.”

Following his first game with the club at the weekend Steve remarked, “I’m delighted to have been asked to get involved with such an exciting project happening at Taunton Town.  I’ve been able to get across to a couple of recent games and I was really impressed with all that has been happening on and off the pitch and with the great local fan base, makes it an exciting place to be and I’m hoping my experience can help add value to what is already a great set up.”
