The Peacocks will be looking for a reaction following their New Years Day defeat at Merthyr Town as Rob Dray’s side welcome Dorchester Town to the Viridor Stadium (5 Jan), KO: 3pm.

The two sides last met in October with Taunton running out 2-1 winners at the Avenue Stadium and this saw the start of an 8 game winning run. Town face a tough test in the form of the Magpies who will be full of confidence after recovering to a 3-2 victory over Tiverton Town on Tuesday to kick off their New Year with the best possible start.

Rob Dray will be without Vice-captain Shane White who suffered a fractured cheek at Penydarren Park and Ryan Brett is still a doubt for the game having sat out the last two league outings and may undergo a fitness test prior to kick-off.

Ahead of this weekend’s match Rob Day said, “Saturday gives a great chance to put points back on the board against an improved Dorchester team. It was a hard fought match at their place in October and again we expect another tough test this time out.  We have one, possibly two back from injury and we are looking forward to playing back in front of our fans and hopefully putting on a performance.”
