Town will be aiming to recover from Tuesday’s setback at Weymouth when they make the 330 mile round trip to Kings Langley tomorrow (18th August), kick-off 3.00pm.

After last Saturday’s opening day win against Staines Town made it a successful start to life in the Premier Division for the Peacocks, the midweek defeat in Dorset was their first in 35 Evo-Stik League matches so they will be looking to bounce straight back on their first ever visit to the village club located between Watford and Hemel Hempstead.

It is Kings Langley’s third season at Premier level following an impressive rise from the Spartan South Midlands League where they won the championship in 2014-15 followed by the Southern League Central Division title a year later to earn them promotion at the first attempt. They have found life harder at the higher level though, ending the last two campaigns in 20th and 21st spot. Their opening two fixtures this season have also ended in defeat, a 3-2 loss at Gosport last weekend followed by a 4-2 home reverse to Harrow Borough on Tuesday so like Town they will be keen to get some points on the board tomorrow.

The Peacocks name the same squad as Tuesday with Keith Emmerson the only doubt following his early departure from the Weymouth game due to injury which means he faces a fitness test tomorrow while international clearance has still not materialised for Douglas Camilo so unfortunately he will have to wait another week to be involved.

Manager Leigh Robinson commented: “It’s a bit of an unknown tomorrow as we go to a different ground. It’s also a potentially tricky trip to make on a Saturday in August with the holiday traffic. The players were really disappointed to unluckily lose a close game on Tuesday night but I’m sure they’ll come out tomorrow desperate to get back on the winning trail.”
