The Peacocks take a break from their Evo-Stik League campaign with a trip to Wincanton Town in the 2nd Round of the Somerset Premier Cup tomorrow evening (6th November), kick-off 7.45pm.

Saturday’s win at Swindon Supermarine propelled Town up to third place in the Southern Premier but it will be a much changed side that takes on the Western League  outfit tomorrow with the majority of the Peacocks side rested. Only Shane White, Craig Veal,  Douglas Camilo and Harry Gardner from the squad that faced Supermarine will be involved tomorrow along with Andrew Neal who despite still having one more banned game to serve can bizarrely play as the Somerset Premier Cup cannot be used towards the completion of a first team suspension. The remainder of the Town squad will consist of players from the club’s Education Partners Bridgwater and Taunton College who also featured against Street in the Southern League Challenge Cup in September.

Wincanton lie in 15th spot in the Western League First Division, having won three of their 13 fixtures to date although they are unbeaten at home so far. They come into tomorrow’s tie on the back of a 3-0 defeat at Calne Town on Saturday.
