The first addition to the Peacocks’ squad for season 2018/19 has been made with the recruitment of striker Andrew Neal from National League South side Truro City. As reported on our SM channels yesterday evening, we are delighted to report that ‘Rocky’ has agreed terms for the new campaign after spending the last two years with the Cornish side where he was leading scorer in his first season. He has previously played for Ivybridge Town and Plymouth Parkway and had a brief spell at Tiverton Town in 2015 before joining Peninsula League outfit Bodmin Town where he netted 60 goals in 44 appearances.

Manager Leigh Robinson commented: “He’s a fantastic signing for us and one that I’m sure will make a massive difference. At this admittedly very early stage, I can see our league being very close and competitive next year, much like the championship where everyone beats everyone and therefore the teams with that extra bit of firepower will turn draws into wins so I was keen to make sure we have as many goals in us as possible. Rocky is a very dynamic, hardworking striker with an excellent goal scoring record who asks a lot of questions of defences with his movement, and therefore perfect for us as we attempt to strengthen.”
